ESIC HOSPITALS IN THE COUNTRY

state: Will the Minister of LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT be pleased to

(a)the details of the hospitals of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) operating in the country, State-wise;

(b)the details of the hospitals operating in Rajasthan at present, district-wise;

(c)the details of the employees eligible for health benefit facility in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation hospitals at present in Rajasthan, district-wise;

(d)whether the Government proposes to construct new Employees’ State Insurance Corporation hospitals in Rajasthan; and (e)if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

ANSWER

(a) to (e): At present, there are 165 Employees State Insurance (ESI) hospitals in the country out of which 59 are run by ESI Corporation and 106 are run by the respective States. State-wise details and district – wise in Rajasthan of ESI hospital are at Annexure I and Annexure II respectively. The details of Insured Persons, district- wise, eligible for health benefit in ESIC hospitals in Rajasthan as on 31.03.2024 is at Annexure-III.

ESIC has approved the construction of three new ESIC hospitals i.e. one each at Chittorgarh, Kotputli – Behror and Ajmer in Rajasthan.
