Current Status of Junior and Senior Residents at AIIMS, New Delhi

At AIIMS, New Delhi, the posts of Senior Residents (SR) and Junior Residents (JR) are crucial tenure positions within the institution’s healthcare framework. These roles play a significant part in supporting patient care and medical education. However, as of March 2025, there are notable vacancies affecting the staffing levels.

Currently, the institution faces a considerable shortfall, with approximately 434 vacancies for Senior Residents, which constitutes about 37.48% of the total sanctioned positions.
