DDA Housing Scheme Receives About 1,500 Bookings On Day 1

The Delhi Development Authority received about 1,500 bookings on the first day of booking for its recently launched Diwali Special Housing Scheme on Monday. The scheme, which offers over 35,000 flats on a first-come first serve (FCFS) basis, began on November 24, 2023 and will end on March 31, 2024.

The DDA website recorded over 1,000 responses within the initial hour of the commencement of the registration process. The officials stated that around 1,500 flats were booked in Dwarka, Narela and Lok Nayak Puram on the first day, including over 1,100 EWS and around 400 LIG flats. Flats in Dwarka Sector 14 in EWS and LIG categories were completely sold out by evening.

“Around 1,500 flats booked till now in Dwarka, Narela and Lok Nayak Puram under the FCFS housing scheme on day one till now, which includes over 1,100 EWS and around 400 LIG flats. Total registration under FCFS scheme is around 12,500,” a senior DDA official said as quoted by Indian Express.

The DDA’s Diwali Special Housing Scheme includes around 4,700 MIG flats in Dwarka Sector 19B, Loknayak Puram, and Narela (Sectors A1 to A4), 316 LIG flats in Dwarka Sector 14, nearly 19,000 LIG flats in various pockets in Narela and about 8,400 EWS flats in Dwarka, Narela and Loknayak Puram.
