TAKE HOME RATION (THR) SCHEME 
(a) No such pilot programme on Conditional Cash Transfer has been taken up by the Ministry.

    (b)  Anganwadi Services under Umbrella Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme implemented by States/UTs across the county. The responsibility for implementation of Anganwadi Services including providing Take Home Ration (THR) and management thereof rests with States/UTs. The complaints received in respect of irregularities/corruption in implementation of Anganwadi Services and in providing THR are forwarded to concerned States / UTs for taking appropriate action. Reports on complaints which are serious in nature are sought from State Government/UT Administration.

      (c)  The details of the number of pregnant, lactating women and children who have been benefited under Anganwadi Services Scheme are at Annexure.

        (d)  The Anganwadi Services under the Umbrella ICDS scheme provide six (6) services to the beneficiaries, i.e., children below 6 years, pregnant and lactating mothers. These services are supplementary nutrition, health and nutrition education, pre-school education, immunization, health check-up and referral services. The scheme is universal and open to all eligible beneficiaries without any economic or other criteria. There are 14 lakh approved Anganwadi Centres out of which 13.70 lakh Anganwadi Centres are operational. More than 9 crore beneficiaries are availing this scheme. This scheme has helped in improving the maternal and child health as reflected in the data captured by National Family Health Survey-4.

          (a) whether the Ministry has assessed the impact of the pilot programmes on conditional cash transfer to meet Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) nutrition goals and if so, the details thereof;

            (b) whether any irregularities have been noticed in the implementation of ICDS’s Take Home Ration (THR) Scheme and if so, the details thereof;

              (c) the number of pregnant, lactating women and children who have been benefited under the said scheme; and

                (d) whether the scheme has met its set targets to improve maternal and child health and if so, the details thereof?
