The Government has undertaken a review of the Implementation of Various Rural Development Scheme

(a) to (c)  For development of rural areas through employment generation, strengthening of livelihood opportunities, promoting self-employment, skilling of rural youths, provision of social assistance, infrastructure development etc., the Ministry of Rural Development, inter alia, is implementing Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY- NRLM), Deen Dayal Upadhyay – Gramin Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission (SPMRM), Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) and National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP).

Rural+Development+Scheme

Review of implementation of various Rural Development programmes is an ongoing process. Programmes are reviewed through Performance Review Committee Meetings, Common Review Mission, Area Officers Schemes, District Development Co-ordination and Monitoring Committee named as “DISHA” Committee, Reports of National Level Monitors etc. Actions as appropriate are taken on the reports of these reviews.

Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:

  • (a) whether the Government has undertaken a review of the implementation of various rural development schemes and if so, the findings thereof;
  • (b) the number of persons/families benefited from each of these schemes in the country including Karnataka during the last three years; and
  • (c) whether the Government proposes to make any additional efforts in order to provide these basic facilities to the rural population and if so, the details thereof?
