The school education and literacy department of Jharkhand would soon come up with a proposal to include general category govt. school students under scholarship scheme. In the Jharkhand CM Special Scholarship Scheme, govt. will enroll 1.28 lakh students of classes 1 to 8 studying in government schools. All the enrolled students will benefit under the CM’s special scholarship scheme.
The Jharkhand CM Special Scholarship Scheme was already approved with the allocation of the budget in the fiscal year 2020-21. The state government is likely to incur an extra burden of 11 crores and around Rs. 38 lakh per annum.
General Category Students Included in Jharkhand CM Special Scholarship Scheme for First Time
The students from class 1 to class 8 under OBC / minority / SC / ST category are already covered under the Jharkhand CM Special Scholarship Scheme of the welfare department. The general category students have been included for the scholarship for the first time.

- The applicants must be a resident of Jharkhand state.
- He / she must be studying in 1st to 8th class.
- Applicants must belong to SC / ST / OBC / Minority or General category.
- All the applicants must be studying in government schools of the state.

Just like scholarship schemes for students in other states, the state govt. of Jharkhand may invite CM Special Scholarship Scheme online application / registration form.
