Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:

(a) the names of the cities of Maharashtra selected under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) Scheme;

(b) the funds allocated, sanctioned and released under this Scheme to the State of Maharashtra during the last three years, year- wise;

(c) the details of authority assigned with the responsibility to monitor the utilization of these funds; and

(d) the details of the completion status of works under the schemes, city-wise?

CITIES SELECTED UNDER AMRUT SCHEME
(a) A total of 44 cities of the State of Maharashtra are covered Under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), list of which is given at ANNEXURE – I.

 (b) The total approved State Annual Action Plan (SAAP) size of State of Maharashtra under AMRUT, for the entire Mission period, amounts to ₹7,759.32 crore, which includes Central Assistance (CA) of ₹3,534 crore. So far, CA amounting to ₹2,776.25 crore have been released to the Government of Maharashtra for AMRUT projects. Under AMRUT, funds are released under the heads of Administrative and Office Expanses (A&OE), Reform Incentives, GIS based Master Plan and Local Area Plan – Town Planning Scheme (LAP-TPS). Funds released to Government of Maharashtra under AMRUT during the last 3 years, year-wise, is given below:

(c) Under AMRUT, States are empowered to plan, approve and implement the projects. Respective State Governments monitor the implementation of the Mission and utilization of the funds under AMRUT. A State level High Powered Steering Committee (SHPSC) chaired by the State Chief Secretary monitors the progress of the implementation of the Mission. In addition, Independent Review and Monitoring Agency (IRMA) have been appointed by each State/ Union Territory.
(d) The city-wise information on project completion status is given at ANNEXURE-II.
