SCHEMES FOR TRIBAL FARMERS

Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE be pleased to State?
(a) whether any new scheme for farmers’ welfare in tribal areas is under consider of the Government;
(b) the effective works being carried out for farmers’ welfare in tribal areas; and
(c) the subsidy and facilities being provided to the farmers in tribal areas and the details thereof?

(a) No sir, & (c) Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare is implementing various schemes for the welfare of farmers including farmers in tribal areas. Funds under most schemes are released separately for the Tribal Sub Plan (TSP). Subsidy pattern varies from scheme to scheme as per the guidelines of the respective scheme. Facilities are provided as per provisions/contours of each scheme such as income support under PM- KISAN, compensation for crop loss under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), support to horticulture activities under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture(MIDH)etc.
