Subsidy on LPG Cylinder

Will the Minister of PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the subsidy on domestic cooking gas has been abolished in the country; and
(b) if so, the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b): A statement is laid on the Table of the House.
Statement referred to in reply to parts (a) & (b) of Lok Sabha Starred Question No. 297 asked by Shri Bhagwant Mann to be answered on 9th August, 2021 regarding “Subsidy on LPG cylinder”.
(a) & (b): The prices of petroleum products in the country are linked to the price of respective products in the international market. The Government continues to modulate the effective price to consumer for Subsidized Domestic LPG. The prices of non-subsidized Domestic LPG are however determined by the OMCs in line with changes in the international markets. The subsidy on the product increases/decreases with the increase/decrease in the product price in international market and decision of Government on subsidy.
