Notification

Vide circular no. CBSE/DIR (ACAD)/51/2021 dated July 05, 2021, Board has communicated that in 2021-2022 session, two examinations for Classes X and XII will be conducted as per following details:-

1. Term-I examination which will be conducted in the month of November­ December, 2021. This will be an objective type examination and the duration of this examination would be 90 minutes.

2. Term-II examination will be conducted in the month of March-April, 2022 . This will be a subjective/objective type examination as per the condition of the COVID-19 in the country.

Accordingly , Term-I examination of Class-X will start from 17.11.2021 and Class-XII examinations will start from 16.11.2021     

Conduct of Term-I Examinations

CBSE is offering 114 subjects in Class XII and 75 subjects in Class X. Meaning thereby, CBSE has to conduct the examination of a total 189 subjects. If the examination of all subjects is conducted, the entire  duration  of  the  examination would be about 45-50 days. Therefore , to avoid learning loss of students, CBSE would conduct the examinations of the following subjects by fixing date sheet across all affiliated schools in India and abroad:-

Duration of Examinations
  • a. Examinations shall be of 90 minutes duration. Wherever , some changes exist, the same is as per curriculum and as mentioned in the Admit Card.
  • b. Examination will start from 11.30 AM instead of 10.30 AM keeping in view the winter session.
  • c. Reading time before start of the examination will be 20 minutes instead of 15 minutes for all categories of candidates
Policy for PWD Candidates
  • a. All facilities and exemptions as provided earlier will continue in this examination also.
  • b. As far as additional time is concerned , 20 min additional time is required on each 1 Hr paper, hence, for 90 Min paper, 30 min additional time will  be allowed.
  • c. All schools will keep ready a group of scribe amongst the students  of  the schools to provide to a candidate if requested for scribe.
  • d. Students acting as the scribe will be provided a certificate recognizing their services by CBSE.
Practical/Internal  Assessment/Project
Practical/ Internal Assessment/Project work be completed  as per the circular no. CBSE/DIR  (ACAD)/51/2021 dated July 05, 2021 issued by the CBSE in such a manner that all marks are uploaded on the link provided by CBSE latest by 23.12 .2021.
Schools can hold Practical/ Internal   Assessment/Project work latest   by
23.12 .2021  and  marks  can  only  be  uploaded  on  the  same  day  Practical/ Internal Assessment/Project work is held.
In case, marks are not uploaded by the schools upto 23 .12.02021, CBSE will take further action as given under:-
  • (i) Result may be declared without taking into consideration Term-I Practical/IA/Project Marks.
  • (ii) Result may be declared based on the performance of Term-II only.
  • (iii) A fine as deemed fit by the Competent Authority of the CBSE and upto Rs. 50,000/- may be imposed for considering the marks submitted by the schools after last date.
  • (iv) Action to withdraw affiliation may be initiated.
  • (v) No external examiner will be appointed in Term-1  examination  by the CBSE. Schools have to complete the practical assessment  with concerned school teacher(s).
  • (vi) Schools will use their own Answer books and preserve them safely.
Fixation of Examination Center .
As on date, there are about 26000 schools affiliated to the Board in India and 26 countries in Abroad.  Looking into the present conditions , CBSE will make efforts to f ix examination centres in  such a manner that neither students nor  schools  are having any problem. However, while doing so, safety and security of  the examinations will be given highest priority.
Capacity Building Programmes Will Be Conducted
a) Webinar for preparations of conduct of examinations
b) Webinar on Evaluation
c) Schedule for Training Programmes will be informed subsequently .
d) CBSE will also release videos for capacity building.
Appointment of Observers
1. As examination would be conducted almost in all the schools , hence, to maintain the sanctity and safety of the examinations , there is a need to appoint an observer at each and every examination center. Scale for appointing Observer will be as follows :

2. City Coordinator (CC) will be responsibility of appointing observer at all examinations centres. City Coordinator will ensure availability of observer each day of examination as per decided scale.

3. .It would be the responsibility of the Center Superintendent and City Coordinator to ensure that the observer remains present during all examination days.
Requirement and Supply of OMRs
1. CBSE will supply customized OMRs online to the examination centres having details of the students permitted to appear in the examinations .

2. .  For  printing  of  OMR, A-4  size  photocopy  paper  of  good  quality  would   be required.

3. For all the subjects , OMRs will be supplied by the CBSE.

4. . Schools will be allowed to download the OMR’s for both classes X/Xll  as  per schedule provided to them shortly.

5. A copy of OMR will be provided shortly to the schools for practice purpose.
 
Evaluation of the OMRs
Evaluation  will  be  done  as  per  the  instructions  provided  by  the  CBSE.  In  this regards, information will be given separately to the concerned.
Rough Work
Separate  sheet  will  be  provided at the  examination  centre for  rough work  to the students.
Guidelines to Prevent Covid
Schools, Parents and students will strictly follow Covid guidelines  as mentioned in the Guidelines to be provided by CBSE to the CS.
Permitted Items
Students will be allowed to earl”}’ only permitted items in the examination centre. All the students will satisfy themselves before entering into the examination centre that they are not carrying any article which could be used and helpful in improving the performance of the candidates in the examination or a threat for the safety and security of the examination .
In case, it is observed that above instructions are not followed by the students and they are caught, CBSE will not refrain from taking severe actions against  the student including cancellation of the examination.
Declaration of Result
Result will be declared according to the information given in circular no. CBSE/DIR (ACAD)/51/2021 dated July 05, 2021 issued by CBSE.
Supply of Guidelines
Roll  numbers  will  be  uploaded  on  09.11.2021. CBSE  will  also  supply  detailed guidelines for all functionaries by 09 .11.2021.
