Sub.: Declaration of Score of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) – P.G. and Ph.D. programmes for the academic year 2023-24.

The National Testing Agency has been mandated by the Ministry of Education and Indian Council of Agricultural Research to conduct the following Entrance Exams for admission to the various courses, for the academic year 2023-24.
  • ICAR-AIEEA (PG)-2023 (All India Entrance Examination for Admission to Master Degree Programmes)
  • ICAR-AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) -2023 [(All India Competitive Examination for admission to Doctoral degree programmes & Award of JRF/SRF (PhD.)]
The ICAR – AIEEA (PG) and AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) – 2023 Examination was conducted only in English medium in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on 9th July, 2023 as per the details given below:

The National Testing Agency conducted the ICAR – AIEEA (PG) for 20 Subjects and AICE- JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) for 72 Subjects in Computer Based Test (CBT) at 144 Centres in 88 cities across the country.
The candidates were given an opportunity to challenge the Provisional Answer Key from 03.08.2023 to 05.08.2023 along with display of Question Paper, and Recorded responses. In this duration, about 852 for PG and 284 for PhD Answer Key challenges were received out of which 285 for PG and 194 for PhD were the unique challenges. Challenges were shown to the concerned Subject Experts. Based on their feedback and after incorporating the changes, the Final Answer Keys were prepared which were used in preparing the Result of ICAR – AIEEA (PG) and AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.).

The Examination was monitored in the following ways:-
  • A Central Control Room was opened to monitor and facilitate the smooth conduct of the Examination on the ground. 06 Regional Coordinators, 15 Zonal Coordinators, 88 City Coordinators, 154 Observers, and 04 Deputy Observers were deployed.
  • Live CCTV Surveillance was planned in all examination centres to curb malpractices in the examination. The NTA also made arrangements for live viewing of remote locations of all examination centres from the Control Room located in the NTA premises of New Delhi. Recording of CCTV Systems was also done.
  • The examination centres were also monitored using AI-based Video Analytics and Virtual Observers.
  • In order to stop cheating using mobile networks, Jammers were installed in all the Centres.
Candidates were given an opportunity to see their responses to the Question Papers and to challenge the Answer Keys. Challenges received online were placed before the concerned Subject Experts for verification.
The Role of NTA is confined to the Registration of candidates, conduct of the test, hosting of answer keys, inviting challenges, finalizing answer keys, preparing and declaring results, hosting Score Card and providing the results to ICAR for further action at their end.
The eligibility criteria, self-declaration, various documents, etc. of the eligible candidates will be verified as per norms specified by ICAR/Institution where admission is sought, at subsequent stages of the admission process. NTA does not have any responsibility towards correctness/genuineness of the uploaded information/documents during the application process.
Candidates are advised to refer to the E-Prospectus and the Admission Policy/Procedure hosted on the website  of ICAR,  i.e. www.icar.org.in for further  course of action with reference to their admission.
