AYUSH Hospitals sanctioned to set up in Bihar

Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state:

(a) whether the work in various AYUSH Hospitals sanctioned to set up in Bihar is hindered for want of financial grant from the Union Government;

(b) if so, the details thereof and the reaction of the Government thereto; and

(c) the details of funds sanctioned, released and utilized for setting up of AYUSH Hospitals in Bihar and particularly in Gopalganj district, year-wise and hospital-wise?

(a) to (c): Under Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National AYUSH Mission (NAM), as per the proposals submitted by the State Government of Bihar through State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs), Ministry of Ayush has approved one 50 bedded Integrated AYUSH hospital at Patna in the year 2015-16 and sanctioned an amount of Rs.302.695 lakhs. As per the report submitted by the State Government, no expenditure has been made till date. Further, during the year 2022- 23, three 50 bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospitals have also been approved at Gopalganj, Darbhanga and Khagaria districts respectively and sanctioned an amount of Rs. 1500.00 lakhs to each hospital. However, grants-in-aid would be released as soon as the conditions of Department of Expenditure guidelines vide no. F.N.1 (13) PFMS/FCD/2020 dated 23.03.2022 and corrigendum dated 21.06.2022 regarding procedure for release of funds under the Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) and monitoring utilization of the funds is met by the State Government of Bihar.
