MEDICAL REIMBURSEMENTS OF PENSIONERS PENDING IN CGHS, DELHI

3600. SHRI SHER SINGH GHUBAYA:

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) the details of number of medical reimbursement of pensioners, CGHS beneficiaries, pending with all the zones of CGHS in Delhi since January, 2023, year-wise;

(b) the timeline prescribed for disposal of such cases under CGHS Citizen Charter,

(c) the reasons for pendency of above-mentioned cases; and

(d) the action taken/proposed to be taken by CGHS to ensure that the medical reimbursement cases of pensioners are disposed of promptly in future so as to cause minimum inconvenience to them and promptly reimburse their dues?

(a) The year-wise details of number of medical reimbursement cases (MRC) of CGHS beneficiaries, pending with all zones of CGHS in Delhi since January, 2023 are given as under:

(a) & (c) The timeline prescribed for disposal of medical reimbursement cases is 30 days from the date of submission. However, certain cases remain pending due to procedural requirements like approval of Standing Technical Committee, deficiencies in required documents, budgetary constraints etc.

(d) Officers dealing with medical reimbursement cases of pensioners are sensitised periodically, and trained, to make the process streamlined, prompt and efficient.
