POST-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP FOR OBCs
SHRI MURARI LAL MEENA:
Will the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the details of funds issued to Rajasthan under “Post-Matric Scholarship” for OBC Category students under Pradhan Mantri Yashasvi Yojana during the last three years, year wise;
(b) whether central funds of Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Category has not been issued;
(c) if so, the time by which it is likely to be issued and if not, the reasons for the delay;
(d) the details of the funds issued in Dausa district under Post-Matric Scholarship under Pradhan Mantri Yashasvi Yojana during last three years, year-wise; and
(e) whether delay in disbursal of scholarship amount is adversely affecting the studies of OBC category students?

(a): The details of funds released to Rajasthan under “Post-Matric Scholarships’ 1 for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Category students under PM YASASVI Scheme during the last three years, is as below:

Proposal not received from the State Government
(b) & (c): Release of of Central Assistance of Rs. 49.95 crore for the financial Year 2024-25 to the Government of Rajasthan under Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Post-Matric Scholarships for OBC, EBC and DNT students, has been approved.
(d): Central Assistance is released directly to State under Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Category. District-wise data is not maintained by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment (DoSJE).
(e): DoSJE releases funds to the States/UTs when the complete proposal is received from the States/UTs along with the Utilization Certificate of previous funds released and necessary documentation as prescribed in the Scheme guidelines.
