BENEFICIARIES UNDER PMAY-G

Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the number of beneficiaries under PMAY-G including Maharashtra during each of the last three years;
(b) the details of houses allotted in Maharashtra, particularly in Osmanabad and Parbhani parliamentary constituency, district- wise, village-wise and tehsil-wise;
(c) whether the Government is planning to increase the number of beneficiaries under PMAYG, if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor;
(d) whether the Government has set a target of providing housing for all in rural areas, if so, the time by which this target is likely to be achieved;
(e) the details of the amount sanctioned by the Government for this scheme from 2022 till date;
(f) whether any irregularities have been noticed in the implementation of PMAY-G, if so, the details thereof; and
(g) whether the Government has taken any action in this regard, if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): The State/ Union Territory (UT) – wise number of houses sanctioned to the beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana- Gramin (PMAY-G) during each of the last three years 2021-22, 2022- 23, and 2023-24, including Maharashtra is given in Annexure-I.
In the State of Maharashtra, a target of 20,11,194 houses have been allocated under the PMAY-G, against which the State has given sanctions to 19,26,494 beneficiaries and 12,61,014 houses have been completed as of 05.12.2024. The Ministry allocates the targets to the State/UT as a whole and district-wise/ block-wise/ Gram Panchayat-wise targets are fixed by the State/UT. The details of houses allotted/ targeted, sanctioned and completed under the PMAY-G in Osmanabad (Dharashiv) and Parbhani parliamentary constituency, as of 05.12.2024 is given in Annexure-II.

(c) & (d): The Ministry of Rural Development is implementing the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana- Gramin (PMAY-G) w.e.f. 1st April 2016 to provide assistance to eligible rural households for the construction of Pucca houses with basic amenities to achieve the objective of “Housing For All” in rural areas. Under the PMAY-G, the initial target was construction of 2.95 crore houses during FY 2016- 17 to 2023-24. The Government of India has approved the proposal for implementation of the scheme for 5 more years during FY 2024- 25 to 2028-29 to provide assistance to 2 crore additional houses.
A target of 3.33 crore houses have been allocated to the States/Union Territories (UTs), against which they have given house sanctions to more than 3.21 crore beneficiaries and 2.68 crore houses have been completed as of 05.12.2024. In addition, the Awaas+ 2024 Mobile App has already been launched on 17.09.2024 for conducting survey by the States/UTs as per modified exclusion criteria to identify additional eligible households under the PMAY-G.
(e): Under the PMAY-G, the details of the funds released by this Ministry for implementation of the PMAY-G during FY 2022-23, 2023- 2024 and 2024-25 (as of 05.12.2024) is given as under:-

(f) & (g): Under PMAY-G, there is a grievance redressal mechanism set up at different levels of administration viz., Gram Panchayat, Block, District and the State. The cases of irregularities reported by the Hon’ble Members of Parliament, Members of State Assembly and general public directly or through Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) are taken up with the State Government for taking necessary action. Since inception of PMAY-G i.e. 01.04.2016 till 05.12.2024, a total of 2,325 complaints relating to irregularities in implementation of PMAY-G have been received in the Ministry of Rural Development on CPGRAMS. As the State Government implements PMAY-G, these complaints have been forwarded to the State for taking necessary action under intimation to this Ministry. Out of 2,325 complaints, 2,315 have been disposed of as on 05.12.2024.
