AYUSHMAN BHARAT HEALTH AND WELLNESS CENTRES

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) the total number of operational Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres in Jharkhand;

(b) the amount of the funds spent on the development of health infrastructure in Jharkhand under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, year-wise;

(c) the total number of beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, year-wise;

(d) the present status and achievements of Community Health Centres (CHCs)/Primary Health Centres (PHCs), particularly in Jharkhand; and

(e) whether the AB-HWCs have successfully provided an extended range of services to meet the basic primary healthcare needs of the entire community and if so, the details thereof?

(a): As reported by States/UTs in AAM portal, a total of 3,591 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) erstwhile Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres have been operationalized in Jharkhand till 31.07.2024.

(b): Under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), there is no provision for funding development of health infrastructure. Funding for Human Resources, Capacity Building (CB) & Information Education and Communication (IEC) activities is provided to all States (including Jharkhand) and Union Territories (UTs) to drive this mission and to facilitate necessary handholding support in on-boarding all the facilities/ health professionals and to integrate all state health programmes/ solutions under ABDM ecosystem.

(c): Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri – Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) aims to provide health cover of Rs. 5 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization to approximately 55 Cr beneficiaries corresponding to 12.34 Crore families constituting the bottom 40% of India’s population. As on 30.06.2024, financial year-wise details of total number of beneficiaries who have received treatment under AB-PMJAY is as follows:

(d): Rural Health Statistics (RHS) is an annual publication, based on Health care administrative data reported by States/UTs. Details of State/UT-wise number of Community Health Centres (CHCs) & Primary Health Centres (PHCs), functioning in rural & tribal areas in the country including Jharkhand may be seen at the following link of RHS 2021-22: https://hmis.mohfw.gov.in/downloadfile?filepath=publications/Rural-Health-Statistics/RHS% 202021-22.pdf

(e): A total of 1,73,881 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have been established and operationalized, till 31.07.2024, by transforming existing Sub-Health Centres (SHC) and Primary Health Centres (PHC) in rural and urban areas to deliver the expanded range of comprehensive primary healthcare services with complete 12 package of services that includes preventive, promotive, curative, palliative and rehabilitative services which are universal, free, and closer to the community.
A total number of 317.34 crore footfall has been recorded on these AAMs as on 31.07.2024. Total hypertension screenings done are 84.28 crore, total diabetes screenings done are 74.18 crore, total oral cancer screenings done are 49.88 crore, total breast cancer screenings done are 22.87 crore, total cervical cancer screenings done are 15.13 crore, total Wellness Sessions including Yoga are 3.98 crore and total teleconsultations conducted are 26.39 crore as on 31.07.2024.
