Will the Minister of Education be pleased to state:
(a) the total strength of the Additional Secretaries, Joint Secretaries and Directors in the Ministry during the period from 1.7.2014 to 1.1.2024, year and post-wise;
(b) the number of the SC/ST officers posted in the Ministry on the posts of Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary and Director during the above period year and post-wise; and
(c) the list of the IAS/IPS/IRS/IFS belonging to the SC and ST categories posted in the Ministry during the above period service, caste, year and post-wise?

(a) to (c) The posting of officers as Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary and Director/Deputy Secretary against the respective sanctioned strengths in the core secretariat of the Ministry of Education under Central Staffing Scheme / Central Secretariat Service is an ongoing and continuous process undertaken by Department of Personnel and Training (DoP&T). The number of such officers posted during the period from 01.07.2014 to 01.01.2024 is available at Annexure. As per the details available in the service records of such officers serving in this Ministry (as on 01.01.2024), 11 (eleven) Officers (9 SCs & 2 STs) belonging to SC/ST category were working as Director/Deputy Secretary, out of which, 1 (one) officer (ST) belonged to IAS cadre.
