OPENING OF NEW CGHS DISPENSARIES IN UTTAR PRADESH
3070. DR. RAJKUMAR SANGWAN:
Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has received any proposal/representations from some States particularly from Uttar Pradesh for opening new hospitals, dispensaries and CGHS dispensaries during the last three years and the current year, till date;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State-wise;
(c) the number of hospitals/dispensaries sanctioned for urban and rural areas separately, State-wise;
(d) whether any construction work has started for the said purpose, till date;
(e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and
(f) the time period fixed for these dispensaries/hospitals to be made operational particularly in Uttar Pradesh?
ANSWER

(SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV)
(a) to (f) : Government considers opening of new Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) Wellness Centre taking into consideration the extant norms of presence of minimum 2500 principal cardholders or 6000 beneficiaries in the city, subject to availability of other resources like Medical Officers, Staff Nurse, Pharmacists, Clerical staff and suitable accommodation. The State- wise details of representations received for opening new CGHS Dispensaries/Wellness Centres is at Annexure-I.
The details of sanctioned CGHS dispensaries is at Annexure-II and the details of sanctioned CGHS Hospitals is at Annexure-III.
