Sub: Inviting Online Application Forms for Joint Entrance Examination (Main) -2025 – Reg.

The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) to the NTA from 2019 onwards.

JEE (Main) comprises of two papers. Paper 1(B.E./B. Tech.) is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B. Tech) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTis), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. It is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper 2 of JEE (Main) is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the Country.

For Academic Session 2025-26, it has been decided that the JEE (Main) -2025 will be conducted in two Sessions i.e. Session 1(January 2025) and Session 2 (April 2025). The details for the Session 1(January 2025) are given below:

Online Submission of Application Form

28 October 2024 to 22 November 2024 (Up to 09:00 P.M.)
Last date of successful transaction  of fee through Credit/Debit Card/Net-Banking/UPI 22 November 2024 (up to 11:50 P.M.)
Announcement of the City of Examination By the First week of January 2025
Downloading Admit Cards from the NTA website 03 days before the actual date of the Examination

JEE (Main) – 2025 will be conducted in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

(i) A candidate can apply for Session-1 (January 2025) examination and pay the exam fee accordingly. The candidates will be given opportunity to apply for Session-2 (April 2025) separately (using same application number) along with the fee payment, for which separate notification will be issued.

(ii) If a candidate wishes to apply for Session 2 (April 2025), the candidate can log in and pay the Examination Fee for Session 2 during that period. If candidate wishes to apply only for Session-2 (April 2025), he can register later, when application form for Session-2 (April 2025) is active.

(iii) The application window for Session 2 will be re-opened as per the details available in the Information Bulletin and will also be notified separately through a Public Notice.

* For Paper 1 and Part-I of Paper 2, each Subject will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled  in as a numerical value. There will be negative marking for   incorrect answers in both Section A and Section  B.

For details of Papers, Scheme, Timing, Eligibility and other information, candidates are requested to please check the Information Bulletin of JEE (Main) – 2025 available on the website https: //j eemain.nta.ni c.ac.in / .

Important Instructions:

  • Candidates can apply for ]EE {Main) – 2025 Session 1 through the “Online” mode only through the website https:lfjeemain.nta.nic.in / The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted.
  • Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. Under no circumstances, candidates will be allowed to fill more than one Application Form. Strict action will be taken, even at a later stage, against such candidates who have filled more than one Application Form.
  • Candidates must strictly follow the instructions given in the Information Bulletin and on the NTA website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.
  • Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or Parents/ Guardians’ only as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number only.
