RESERVATION IN PROMOTION FOR PWBDS

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) the details of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBDs) employed in Safdarjung Hospital, Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Lady Hardinge Medical College and All India Institue of Medical Sciences in group A,B,C,D;

(b) whether the reservation in promotion is given to all the above-said employees and if so, the details of PwBDs who were promoted from group C to group B, group B to group B and group B to group A in the last 3 years;

(c) whether requests have been received from PwBDs to consider their candidature for promotion and action taken thereon and if so, the details thereof;

(d) the details of complaints received for violation of the reservation in promotion for PwBDs along with the action taken on those complaints by respective hospitals; and

(e) whether any responsibility/accountability has been fixed for such violation, if so, the details thereof, and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) The details of number of persons with benchmark disability (PwBDs) employed in Safdarjung Hospital, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Lady Harding Medical College & Associated Hospitals and All India Institue of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi in groups A, B, C, and D are at Annexure I.

(b) The policy of Government for reservation in promotion of persons with benchmark disability (PwBDs) is being followed in the Hospitals/Institutes. The details of the number of PwBDs promoted from group C to group B, group B to group B and group B to group A in the above said hospitals in the last 3 years are at Annexure II.

(c) Requests received from Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) seeking consideration for promotion are considered in accordance with the guidelines of the Department of Personnel and Training.

(d) & (e) No complaints regarding violation of the reservation in promotion for PwBDs in the aforementioned Hospitals/Institutes have been received.
