NOTIFICATION
Delhi, the 11th June, 2024
F. No. F.5/64/2022/Estt./Coop./Misc/RR.615.—In exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to article 309 of the constitution of India read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs notification No. F.27/59-Min (H) dated the 13th July, 1959, the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, is pleased to make following recruitment rules for the post of STAFF CAR DRIVER (GRADE-I) in the Registrar Cooperative Societies Department, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, namely :-
1. Short title and commencement – (i) These rules may be called the Department of Registrar Cooperative Societies, Staff Car Driver (Grade-I) Recruitment Rules, 2024.
(ii) They shall come into effect on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette of Delhi.
2. Number of post, classification and pay level in the Pay Matrix- The number of said posts, its classification and pay level in the Pay Matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) to the schedule annexed to these rules.
3. Method of Recruitment, age limit, qualification etc. – The method of recruitment, age limit, qualification and other matters relating to the said post shall be specified in columns number (5) to (13) of the said Schedule annexed to these Rules..
4. Disqualifications- No Person,
- (a) Who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse, or
- (b) Who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for the said post:
Provided that the Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such persons and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for doing so, exempt any person from the operation of this rule.
5. Power to Relax.- Where the Government of National Territory is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient to do so, he may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons.
6. Saving.- Nothing in these rules shall affect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Ex-Servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with the order issued by the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi from time to time in this regard.

Promotion: Staff Car Driver (Grade-II) in the Pay Level 4 (Rs.25500-81100/-) of the Pay Matrix with 06 years of regular service in the grade or with a combined service of 15 years in Staff Car Driver (Grade-II) and Ordinary Grade and have passed the trade test, specified by the Transport Department, GNCTD). Note: Where juniors who have completed their qualifying/eligibility service are being considered for promotion, their seniors would also be |
considered provided they are not short of the requisite qualifying /eligibility service by more than half of such qualifying/eligibility service or two years, whichever is less, and have successfully completed probation period for promotion to the next higher grade along with their juniors who have already completed such qualifying/eligibility service. |
