Civil Aviation Height Restrictions Amendment Rules, 2024

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 18th June, 2024

G.S.R. 335(E). — In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clause (o) and (r) of sub-section (2) of section 5, read with section 9A and proviso to section 14 of the Aircraft Act, 1934 (XXII of 1934), the Central Government, being of opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do for the safety of aircraft operations, hereby makes the following further amendments in the Ministry of Civil Aviation (Height Restrictions for Safeguarding of Aircraft Operations) Rules, 2015, namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Civil Aviation (Height Restrictions for Safeguarding of Aircraft Operations) Amendment Rules, 2024.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Ministry of Civil Aviation (Height Restrictions for Safeguarding of Aircraft Operations) Rules, 2015 (hereinafter referred to as said rules),-

(a) In Schedule III, under the heading “AERODROMES OPERATED BY AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA AND JOINT VENTURE COMPANIES”, –

(a) after Serial No. 104 and the entries relating thereto, the following Serial Nos. and entries shall be inserted, namely:-

(ii) In the said rules, in Schedule IV, Part 1, under the heading “AERODROMES OPERATED BY THE STATE GOVERNMENTS AND PRIVATE OWNERS (AERODROMES LICENSED FOR PUBLIC/PRIVATE USE AND PLANNED RCS AIRPORTS)”, for serial no. 2, 4, 12, 18, 40 and the entries relating thereto,

(a) the following serial no. and entries shall be substituted, namely:-

(a) Serial No. 81 and entries relating thereto shall be omitted;

(b) Serial No. 101 and entries relating thereto shall be omitted;

(iv) In the said rules, in Schedule V, under the heading “DEFENCE AERODROME”, for Serial No. 58 and entries relating thereto, the following Serial No. and entries shall be substituted, namely:-

(v) In the said rules, in Schedule VII, under the heading “GREEN FIELD AIRPORT FOR WHICH GOVERNMENT OF INDIA HAS GIVEN ‘IN-PRINCIPLE’ APPROVAL”,-

(a) Serial No. 6 and entries relating thereto shall be omitted;
(b) Serial No. 8 and entries relating thereto shall be omitted;
(c) Serial No. 9 and entries relating thereto shall be omitted;
(d) Serial No. 11 and entries relating thereto shall be omitted;
(e) Serial No. 12 and entries relating thereto shall be omitted;
(f) Serial No. 16 and entries relating thereto shall be omitted;
(g) Serial No. 17 and entries relating thereto shall be omitted;
