Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:-
(a) the salient feature of Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Surakash Yojana (PMSSY):
(b) the details fo the funds sanctioned, allocated and utilized so far under the scheme in Rajasthan;
(c) the details fo the target set in this regard;
(d) the number and the current status of new super speciality hospitals like AIIMS being set up under the scheme in Rajsthan;
(e) Whether the Government proposes to increase the number of nuring professionals under the scheme across the country; and
(f) if so, the details therof?

(a) to (f): Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) aims at correcting regional imbalances in the availability of affordable tertiary healthcare services and to augment facilities for quality medical education in the country. The Scheme has two components, namely, (i) Setting up of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS); and (ii) Up-gradation of existing Government Medical Colleges/Institutions (GMCIs). Up-gradation of GMCIs under PMSSY broadly involves construction of Super Specialty Block (SSB) and/or Trauma Centre / or other facilities and/or procurement of medical equipment. So far setting up of 22 New AIIMS and 75 projects of upgradation of GMCIs have been approved under the Scheme in various phases.
AIIMS Jodhpur has been established under the PMSSY at a project cost of Rs.820.00 crores and the institute is functional since 2012. During current financial year, an amount of Rs.868.00 crore has been released to AIIMS, Jodhpur as Grant-in Aid.
Further, under the scheme four projects for upgradation of Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) in Rajasthan were approved. The status is as under:

As per the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), running, operation and maintenance of the upgraded facilities including creation of posts and the recruitment of human resources is the responsibility of the State Government.
