Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida is an autonomous Institute under Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. Recruitment/selection for the posts of Staff Nurse in Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida is to be conducted as per provision of “SWA-SHASHI RAJYA CHIKITSA MAHAVIDYALAY ADHINASTH NURSING (ARAJPATRIT) SEVA PARINIYAMAVALI-2023”. The recruitment will be governed by the orders, rules and regulations of the Uttar Pradesh Government, Medical Education Department and the State Government issued from time to time in this regard. All selections and appointments will be subject to the rules, regulations, and conditions of service prescribed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Online applications are invited from citizens of India for selection through online examination for the Post of “Staff Nurse” under Computer Based Test Through Online Mode (CBT) 2023, whose details of unreserved and reserved category-wise vacancies are given in Table-01 of the next point.
Important Note:-
1- If any information provided by the candidate is found to be false at any stage of recruitment process, then the candidature of the candidate shall be summarily rejected.
2- No application/fee will be accepted after date as against the above advertisement till the last date of submission of application and fee as per published Examination scheduled on GIMS website. The applicant will not be able to print out his application unless his fee is adjusted by the bank. GIMS does not take any responsibility for adjusting the fees. Candidate can also amend his application form except – Registered Mobile Number, Email, Govt issued ID (PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Driving License/ Passport)  Category, etc. Candidates are advised to visit GIMS website www.gims.ac.in for the detailed schedule of the Examination and application  process.
3- The language of examination will be both English and Hindi
4- The syllabus, question pattern, marking and qualifying marks are as described in the following sections-
  • Online Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted for the post of Staff Nurse. Computer Based Test (CBT) will be of 02 hours duration and carry 100 marks. There will be multiple choice questions (MCQs), which are as follows- 
  • 80% questions will be related to Theory of Nursing Knowledge.
  • 20% questions will be related to practical application of Nursing ( of these 10% will be related to COVID related work).
  • Syllabus- as enclosed.
  • There will be no negative marking.
5- Standard rule will be followed for normalization.

6- Resolution of Tie: In cases where more than one candidate secures equal marks, the tie will be resolved
  • (i) First by using the date of birth, with older candidate placed higher.
  • (ii) If not resolved by the date of birth, it will be resolved by the number of wrong answers, those with less wrong answers placed higher.
  • (iii) Total marks in the core section of the examination conducted. (Higher marks in the core section being placed higher on the merit list). The core subjects will include Fundamental Nursing; Community Health Nursing; Medical and Surgical Nursing; Paediatric Nursing; Obstetrical Nursing & Psychology, Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing.
  • (iv) Application No. of the candidate. (Earlier application No. being placed higher on the merit list)
Information required for candidates applying online- Online application system is applicable for applying under the above advertisement. The application sent through any other mode will not be accepted. Candidates should apply online only. Candidates applying online, to please ensure compliance with the procedure given below-
Process of filling the application form – The process of filling the application form is divided into the five following parts:-
  • i. Candidate Registration
  • ii. Filling up of balance details of the form.
  • iii. Uploading photo, signatures and other documents
  • iv. Payment of Fees and Application Form Submission
  • v. Printout of Application form
Note: The candidate can complete all the above mentioned procedures in one attempt for filling the application form.
The candidate has to click the notification on the GIMS website www.gims.ac.in. Candidates should read the said advertisement carefully and understand very well that they have the desired qualifications for the advertised posts and are covered under the prescribed age limit (21 to 40 years) prescribed for the post. Start the process of filling the application form only after that. In User Instruction, the candidates have been given guidelines for filling up of online applications. Therefore, the candidates must read the following User Instructions to fill the application. General Instructions
1. Aspiring applicants satisfying eligibility criteria in all respect can submit their ONLINE application only. Online application will be available on GIMS website www.gims.ac.in.

The candidates belonging to the other category (Horizontal) shall have to pay fee according to their original category.
4. Online Registration and submission process schedule will be published on GIMS website; Examination will be conducted according to the published schedule. Candidates are advised to visit GIMS website for the detailed schedule of the Examination regularly.
 
5. The number of reserved vacancies may change as per Acts and GOs on Reservation of Government of Uttar Pradesh in accordance with the prescribed policy/ directions in the Ordinances/Orders of the Govt.
6. For recruitment of Staff Nurse for Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida, the provisions of “SWA- SHASI RAJYA CHIKITSA MAHAVIDYALAY ADHINASTH NURSING  (ARAJPATRIT) SEVA PARINIYAMAVALI-2023” shall apply.
7. Before applying, candidates must read the mandatory qualifications (academic) and others prescribed for vacant posts and ensure that they  hold  the  required  mandatory qualification (educational) and other for the post and only those who are covered under the prescribed age limit can apply online.
8. Reservation for physically handicapped, dependent of freedom fighters and ex servicemen will be as per “Uttar Pradesh Public Service (physically handicapped, dependent of freedom fighters and ex servicemen) Act 1993” as amended till date.
9. The number of vacancies mentioned in the above Table may increase or decrease.
10. Age relaxation for SC/ST & OBC candidates up to a maximum period of 05 years, as per appended guidelines and relevant GOs of Govt of UP.
11. In case of Divyang/ Disabled/ Handicapped (OL Only) candidates, the age relaxation is up to maximum period of 15 years (Ref. GO.NO. 5/2022/18/1/2008/47/Ka-2/2022 Karmik- anubhag-2 dated 18.04.2022 of Government of UP).
12. In case of Permanent Uttar Pradesh Government Employees who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service in the relevant field relaxable up to maximum period of 5 years as per appended guidelines and relevant GOs of Government of Uttar Pradesh.
13. Relaxation in upper age limit for Ex-servicemen will be as per UP Govt. rules.
14. No document including printed/ hard copy of online application forms are required to be sent by post. However, applicants are advised to keep one printed / hard copy of their application forms with themselves for their record.
15. Candidates are required to give their preferences amongst three choice of Cities in which Exams are to be conducted (list of cities- as enclosed) will be published with the application forms). Exact centre will be given at time of issue of admit card. Effort will be made to allot centre to candidates according to their given preferences. However, in case of non- availability of a slot at their preferred choices, closest other cities will be allotted. Decision of GIMS, Greater Noida will be final in this regard.
16. Applicants in regular  employment  must  submit  a  “NO  OBJECTION  CERTIFICATE”  from
employers.
17. Candidates with valid application shall be issued E- Call letter / admit card. These can be downloaded by candidates directly from GIMS website www.gims.ac.in by entering their application number. Call letters will not be sent by post. This facility would be available on website accordingly as per published scheduled of examination.
18. No TA/DA shall be admissible for appearing in the said examination.
19. All disputes/differences or litigations shall be subject to territorial jurisdiction of Gautam Buddha Nagar Court only. In case of litigation, the vacancy or appointment shall be subject to the outcome of the litigation only.
20. Director GIMS, Greater Noida reserves the right to fill any or all of advertised posts or not to fill same without assigning any reason thereof.
21. All selections and appointments will be subject to the rules, regulations, & conditions of service prescribed by the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh.
Age Limit-

1- The decisive date of age calculation for recruitment to the post is 1st July, 2023.
2- In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBCs and other such categories of candidates in Uttar Pradesh, the upper age limit will be as high as specified by the Government.
3- In case of Permanent Uttar Pradesh Government Employees who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service in the relevant field relaxable up to maximum period of 5 years as per GOs of Govt of UP, Karmik Anubhag -4 Ref No. -2-E.M./2001-Ka- 42013 dated 27.08.2013.
4- For appointment on direct entry posts an ex-service man vide U.P.Govt Niyukti (kha) deptt no. 5/1/66-niyukti (kha) dated 16.3.1970, he shall be allowed to deduct the period of his service in the armed forces from his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post / service for which he seeks appointment by more than 03 years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding the upper age limit. However, he should have rendered satisfactory approved military service in any wing of army, navy or air force and he  should be otherwise eligible for the post.
Reservation-
The Scheduled Tribes/Scheduled Castes/ Other Backward Castes (OBC), EWS & other categories (i.e. horizontal ) reservation will be admissible as per the periodic/ existing orders of the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
Horizontal reservation:
The Uttar Pradesh, Public Services, (Reservation for physically handicapped, dependent of freedom fighters and ex servicemen) Act 1993 , dated 29.12.1993 and(amendment) Act 1997 dated 31.07.1997; and (amendment) Act 2018 dated 23.07.2018 &01.09.2018; and (Amendment) Act 2021 vide Notification No. 450 (2/LXXIXV-1-21-1-ka-12-21 Lucknow dated 10.03.2021; and UP Govt GO no. 15/5/1986-Ka-2/92 dated 28/04/1992 Karmik Anubhag-2, shall apply in the Horizontal reservation and will be applicable to the identified posts.
Essential Educational Qualification
For recruitment to the vacant posts mentioned in the above Table-1, it is mandatory for the candidate to hold the following mandatory qualifications (educational and other preferential qualifications) as on 1st July, 2023 as per guidelines appended.
