Revised guidelines of Umbrella “Scholarship Scheme for Students with Disabilities” effective from 01.04.2023

The undersigned is directed to say that the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India is implementing the Central Sector Umbrella Scholarship Scheme “Scholarships for Students with Disabilities” with following six components:

• Pre-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities
• Post-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities
• Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities
• National Overseas Scholarship for Students with Disabilities
• National Fellowship for Persons with Disabilities
• Free Coaching Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

2. The revised guidelines in respect of above first five components of Umbrella Scheme are enclosed for ready reference. These Guidelines is effective from April 15 2023. The guidelines in respect of Free Coaching component of the Umbrella Scheme are being revised and will be brought out separately.

3. All stakeholders are requested to circulate these scheme guidelines to the beneficiaries s so that maximum number of students with disabilities can take benefit of these scholarships.
