Officials said that out of the plots reserved for institutional units/establishments and farmers whose land has been acquired, 21% and 2% of plots will be reserved for SC/ST applicants respectively.
The residential plot scheme was launched on August 8. Now, the plots will be allotted through a draw of lots on October 18. Officials said the rate of land in residential plots under the scheme is Rs 24,600 per sqm.
“The (Jewar) Airport is one of the main reasons for the overwhelming response of the buyers. Along with this, different infrastructure projects – Apparel Park, Medical Device parks, proposed Film City etc. – and overall development of the area is attracting people to the Yamuna Authority,” said an official.
