Housing Scheme : Application For 5,309 Houses To Start From September 15

MHADA advertisement for a lottery of 5,309 houses in Konkan Mandal region of MHADA will be released on September 15, Friday. Also, online application-acceptance will also start from this day. The draw is likely to be held in November.

In May 2023, Konkan Mandal conducted a lottery for 4,654 houses. However, many houses in the lot were not sold. Also, houses under First Priority and MHADA Housing Schemes got very low response. Therefore, the Konkan board decided to draw lots for the houses available under the various housing schemes of MHADA along with the remaining houses in this lottery.

The draw was to be held in July-August. However, due to some reason, this draw got delayed. According to the information given by a senior official of Konkan Mandal, the lottery for 5,309 houses will be held in November, while the advertisement for these houses will be published on Friday, September 15. Acceptance of applications will start from Friday itself. The draw includes houses belonging to all four income groups namely EWS, lower income group, middle and high, while 20 percent of the houses are from comprehensive schemes, first priority, MHADA housing and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
