PRADHAN MANTRI ADI ADARSH GRAM YOJANA (PMAAGY)
2916. SHRI JASWANT SINGH BHABHOR:
Will the Minister of TRIBAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) the names of the villages selected under ‘Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojana’ in the district Dahod of Gujarat till date;
(b) the facilities to be provided in all these villages; and
(c) whether facilities under ‘Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojana’ will be provided to all such nearby villages which have population less than five hundred considering these as one?

(a) to (c): Ministry of Tribal Affairs is implementing the scheme ‘Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojana (PMAAGY) under which 36,428 villages having at least 50% tribal population and 500 STs across States / UTs with notified STs will be covered by March 2026. This includes 3764 villages of Gujarat including 502 villages in Dahod District to be taken up during 2021-22 to 2025-26. The scheme aims to provide basic amenities in selected villages by bridging gaps in various sectors of development through appropriate convergence of government schemes like availability of road, water, health and education facilities, Anganwadi etc.
Till date Ministry has approved Village Development Plan (VDPs) of 1562 villages of Gujarat including all the 502 villages of Dahod. The name of the villages of Dahod covered under the scheme of ‘PMAAGY’ and whose VDPs have been approved by Ministry is at Annexure 1. The abstract of the activities to be taken up under VDPs approved by the Ministry in Dahod is at Annexure 2.
The scheme is dedicated to villages which meet the twin criteria stated above. The states can however send proposal to this Ministry for development under Article 275(1) of constitution for any villages not covered under the scheme through State Level executive Committee within their allocated budget.
