CCTV CAMERAS IN TRAINS
3416. SHRIMATI JYOTSNA CHARANDAS MAHANT
Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the CCTV camera facility has been provided at railway stations in view of the convenience of passengers in the country;
(b) if so, the zone-wise details of the CCTV cameras installed including South East Central Railway;
(c) whether there is any provision for continuity and monitoring of the above facility and if so, the details thereof;
(d) the number of stations under South-East-Central Railway in which this facility is likely to be installed and the likely time for its completion;
(e) whether the CCTV cameras are to be installed in all the coaches of the trains under this scheme;
(f) if so, the number of trains equipped with CCTV cameras at present; and
(g) the details of trains yet to be equipped with CCTV cameras thereof?

The monitoring of the CCTV cameras is done at the respective Railway Protection Force (RPF) posts.
(e) to (g): Provision of CCTV Cameras in all passenger coaches is an ongoing process. Presently, 7264 passenger coaches have been provided with CCTV cameras.
