Subject: Project Veer Gatha Edition 3.0 
Dear Principal 
Gallantry Awards have been instituted by the Government of India to honour the acts of bravery and sacrifice of the officers/personnel of the Armed Forces, other lawfully-constituted Forces and Civilians. These gallantry awards are announced twice in a year on the occasion of Republic Day and Independence Day.

In order to disseminate the details of acts of bravery and the life stories of these brave- hearts among the students, it has been proposed by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) that school students may be motivated to do projects/activities based on gallantry award winners. Accordingly, the first edition of Project Veer Gatha was organized in 2021 and he second edition was organized in 2022.
The MoD in coordination with MoE has now decided to launch Project Veer Gatha Edition 3.0 which is proposed to be culminated with the prize distribution ceremony in January, 2024. Interdisciplinary and art-integrated activities Poem, Paragraph, Essay, Painting, Multi Media Presentation etc. may be considered as project activities for the students.

Timeline for Conducting Activities by Schools affiliated to CBSE:

in Annexure I.

Registration and Submission of Entries:
Please note that this year the schools affiliated with the Board would be required to submit entries for Veer Gatha 3.0 on mygov Portal only.  The detailed procedure for registration and submission of entries is attached as Annexure II.
Please note that the My Gov Veer Gatha 3.0 Portal will be open for submission of entries upto 15th September 2023. Schools should not wait for the last date for submission of the best entries.
Best entries from the participants at MyGov Portal, will be selected for awards as per the following details:
  • National Level – 100 winner (Super 100). No Veer Gatha Winner (at National Level) of earlier versions will be included in 100 winners (at National Level) of Veer Gatha Project (3.0).
  • Category: Class 3rd to 5th = 25 winners o Category: Class 6th to 8th = 25 winners o Category: Class 9rd to 10th = 25 winners
  • Category: Class 11th to 12th = 25 winners
  • State / UT Level – 04 Winners (one from each category) at State / UT level irrespective of Board (Will not include students selected in Super 100)
  • District Level – 04 winners (one from each category). These will not include students selected in Super 100 and the students selected at State/UT level.
Decision of the Evaluators / Jury shall be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
Award:
  • 100 selected entries will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- by the Ministry of Defence.
  • Each of the 100 winners will be invited for Republic Day Celebration at Delhi.
  • All students whose entry is uploaded on the Veer Gatha portal will get an E- certificate of Participation.
