NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 17th August, 2023
G.S.R. 610(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 48 of the Life Insurance Corporation Act, 1956 (31 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Life Insurance Corporation of India, Class I Officers (Revision of Terms and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1985, namely: —
1. Short title, commencement and application. — (1) These rules may be called the Life Insurance Corporation of India, Class I Officers (Revision of Terms and Conditions of Service) Amendment Rules, 2023.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in Official Gazette.
(3) These rules shall be applicable to those Class I Officers who were in the whole-time salaried service in the permanent establishment of the Corporation.
2. In the Life Insurance Corporation of India, Class I Officers (Revision of Terms and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1985, after rule 7G, the following shall be inserted, namely: –
“7H. — Cash Handling Allowance to Class I Officer in Satellite Offices shall be Rs.170/- per day for paying and receiving cash:
Provided that this allowance shall not count for the purpose of calculation of Dearness Allowance, Provident Fund, Gratuity, House Rent Allowance, Pension, Encashment of Privilege Leave and fixation of salary on promotion.”
