Sub: – NTA Declares the Result/NTA Scores of Common University Entrance Test (PG) –2023 – Reg.
The National Testing Agency has been mandated by the Ministry of Education and UGC to conduct Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission into Postgraduate Programmes in Central Universities and under the Ministry of Education, and other participating Universities / Institutions / Organizations / Autonomous Colleges.
CUET (PG) provides a single window opportunity to students seeking admission in any of the Central Universities (CUs) or other participating organizations (including State Universities, Deemed and Private Universities) across the Country especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connections with the Universities. A single Examination enables the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities and other participating Universities.

For the Academic Session 2023-24, CUET (PG) – 2023 was conducted in bilingual mode i.e., English and Hindi in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode between 05 June 2023 and 06 July 2023 as per the details given below:

The National Testing Agency conducted Common University Entrance Test (PG) – 2023 [CUET (PG) –2023] in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode for about 4,58,774 unique registered candidates and administered 877492 tests. A total of 197 Universities (Central/State/Private and others) are participating in CUET (PG) – 2023. Details for the same are given below:
  • Central Universities – 39
  • State Government Universities – 45
  • Government Institutions – 10
  • Others (Private and Deemed Universities) – 103

The CUET (PG) – 2023 provided access and flexibility in the following ways:

  • The candidates applied for 4597 courses which were tested under 157 Question Paper Codes
  • The total number of Question Papers was 396 and the number of Questions was 45875.
  • These were used over 23 days and 60 Shifts.
  • The medium of the Question Paper was English and Hindi.
  • In addition to 279 cities in India, CUET (PG) – 2023 examination was also conducted in 279 Cities (including 7 cities outside India namely Doha, Dubai, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, and Bagmati).
  • Grievances of individual students based on their experience in CUET (PG) – 2023 have also been considered.
  • A number of opportunities to make corrections in the particulars of online Application Forms were given to facilitate the candidates.
  • For the preparation of Question papers, about 1200 subject Experts and 400 translators were involved in the massive exercise of preparing the Question Papers for CUET (PG) – 2023.
The candidates were given an opportunity to challenge the Answer Key from 13 July to 16 July 2023 along with the Provisional Answer Key, Question Paper, and Recorded responses. In this duration, about 5386 Answer Key challenges were received out of which 1422 were the unique challenges. Candidates were also given representation through e-mails and letters. Those were also shown to the concerned Subject Experts. Based on their feedback and after incorporating the changes, the Final Answer Keys were prepared which were used in preparing the Result of CUET (PG) – 2023.
The Role of NTA is confined to the Registration of candidates, conduct of the test, hosting of answer keys, inviting challenges, finalizing answer keys, preparing and declaring results, and hosting Score Card. A merit list will be prepared by participating Universities/organizations. Universities will decide about their individual counselling based on the Scorecard of CUET (PG) – 2023 provided by NTA.

The Examination was monitored in the following ways:-

  • A Central Control Room was opened to monitor and facilitate the smooth conduct of the Examination on the ground. 02 National Coordinators, 19 Regional Coordinators, 303 City Coordinators, 1083 Observers, and 162 Deputy Observers were deployed.
  • Live CCTV Surveillance was planned in all examination centres to curb malpractices in the examination. The NTA also made arrangements for live viewing of remote locations of all examination centres from the Control Room located in the NTA premises of New Delhi. Recording of CCTV Systems was also done.
  • The examination centres were also monitored using AI-based Video Analytics and Virtual Observers.
  • In order to stop cheating using mobile networks, Jammers were installed in all the Centres.
Candidates were given an opportunity to see their responses to the Question Papers and to challenge the Answer Keys. Challenges received online were placed before the concerned Subject Experts for verification. The result was prepared based on the Final Answer Keys and the same is being declared today i.e. 20 July 2023 on https://cuet.nta.nic.in/

The results of candidates have also been shared with the Universities where the candidates had applied. Candidates are advised to be in touch with the respective universities and Institutions for further details.
For the CUET (PG), NTA made elaborate arrangements at various levels and took help from State Authorities for the smooth conduct of the examination.
To make the candidates and their parents aware of the rules and regulations of the examination, candidates were sent various messages (SMS) on their registered mobile numbers. SMS was also sent to all the candidates to download “Important Advisory for CUET (PG) – 2023” along with the Admit Card.
Moreover, the NTA took various steps to ensure candidates are facilitated at every stage of the examination. The steps taken by the Agency are enclosed in Annexure 1.
