PRE-MATRIC AND POST-MATRIC SCHOLARSIDPS FOR STUDENTS OF ECONOMICALLY WEAKER SECTION

Will the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state:-
(a) the details of Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarships to the students belonging to the Economically Weaker Section and the criteria for awarding such scholarships; and
(b) the steps taken by Government in this regard?

THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT
SUSHRI PRATIMA BHOUMIK
(a) & (b) The Ministry is implementing Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Pre-Matric Scholarship and Post Matric Scholarship for Other Backward Classes (OBC) and others including Economically Backward Classes (EBC), under PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India for (PM -YASASVI).
Under the above said scheme, scholarship is provided to students whose parental income from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.50 lakh and also subject to certain other conditions.
