ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE
DR. BHARATI PRAVIN PAWAR
(a) to (e) : For smooth functioning of CGHS Wellness Centres and to ensure uninterrupted services to the beneficiaries, as an interim measure Medical Officers and other staff are engaged on contract basis against vacant posts.
Essential Medicines are available in CGHS Wellness Centres, procurment of which is done in bulk through Medical Stores Organization as well as from Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana to augment the availablity of medicines. In addition, medicines, which are not available in Wellness Centres are procured through Authorized Local Chemists, against individual prescription.
CGHS has undertaken various measures to make CGHS user friendly. To streamline payment of Hospital Bills measures like settlement of these through digital mode through NHA-IT Platform. Bills worth Rs.3100 crore were settled in last financial year, and bills worth Rs.900 crore have already been processed during the current financial year.
