Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE be pleased to state:
(a) the details of Beej Gram Yojana implemented in the country particularly in Uttar Pradesh during the last three years;
(b) the details of the funds allocated and utilized in various States of the country during the last three years till date, State/UT-wise including Uttar Pradesh;
(c) whether National Seeds Conference had been organized to help farmers during the time of sowing during the last three years in view of the changing scenario of the country;
(d) if so, the details of the issues discussed in the conference and the outcome thereof; and
Beej Gram Yojana
(e) the intention of each State Government particularly Uttar Pradesh in this regard and the outcome of such conferences?

(b):  The details of funds released and utilized in various States of the country during the last three years till date, State/UT-wise including Uttar Pradesh are placed at Annexure-I.
(c): The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India organizes National Conference on Agriculture before onset of each sowing season i.e. Kharif, Rabi & Zaid. In these conferences, issues related to seeds were also addressed.
(d) & (e): In these conferences, discussions held at National & State level (including Uttar Pradesh) on the various issues/challenges related to agriculture sector i.e. diseases & pest resistance, productivity augmentation, mechanization etc. and strategies to mitigate them. The suggestions provided to various issues in these conferences were actively taken up by the States (including Uttar Pradesh) for further strategizing/incorporation in their action plan for augmenting the production and productivity through better prepositioning of inputs, new seed varieties, seed rolling plan, nutrient management, pest management and modern machineries.
The outcomes of these discussions at said conferences on seed sector are as  under:
1. Seed Requirement & Availability across the country has been reviewed. The outcome of this may be seen in sufficient quantity of seed availability against the requirement, every year across the country.
2. In view of the changing climate conditions, promotion of stress tolerant (both biotic and abiotic) & climate resilient varieties.
3. To ensure the nutritional security, inclusion of bio-fortified varieties in public distribution system has been encouraged. In this series, the year 2023 is being observed as International Year of Millets.
4. Focus on preparation of dynamic seed rolling plan by the State governments that include newly released short & medium duration, high yielding varieties of different crops.
