ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF CULTURE, TOURISM AND DEVELOPMENT
OF NORTH EASTERN REGION

SHRI G. KISHAN REDDY

(a) & (b) There is no scheme as such. However, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has identified 100 centrally protected monuments and sites as Adarsh Smaraks for providing tourist amenities such as drinking water, toilets, pathways, ramps, Wi-Fi, cafeteria, interpretation centre, brail signage, illumination, sound and light show, souvenir shop, etc.

(c) State-wise number of centrally protected monuments and sites identified as Adarsh Smaraks is given at Annexure.
(d) As there is no such scheme for Adarsh Smarak, there is no separate budget the same. The expenditure on upgradation of facilities is being met from regular budget of ASI.

(e) & (f) Providing and upgrading facilities for visitors at the monuments and sites is a regular phenomenon, which is taken up based on requirement and availability of resources.

(g) Since there is no such scheme, question of receiving any proposal does not arise.
