Training Under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0

Will the Minister of SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP be pleased to state:-

(a) the number of training centres under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 3.0 in Haryana;

(b) the number of candidates trained during the last two years and the type of skills they are trained for;

(c) the number of placements made during the last two years;

(d) the number of dropouts during the last two years; and

(e) whether any interventions have been made to prevent dropouts and if so, the details thereof?

(a) Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) launched the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY 3.0) on 15.01.2021 with an objective to deliver skills to youth of the country to make them employable for better livelihood. Under PMKVY 3.0, the training has been imparting in the State of Haryana through 223 training centres.

(b) 17,394 candidates have been trained in the State of Haryana during the last two years in 147 job roles under PMKVY 3.0.

(c) 1,128 candidates have been reported placed in the State of Haryana during the last two years under PMKVY 3.0.

(d) Under PMKVY 3.0, 980 candidates have been dropped in the State of Haryana during the last two years.

(e) Under the PMKVY, dropouts have been observed at various stages in the sequential training life cycle such as enrolment, training, assessment, certification etc. Ministry has taken various initiatives to reduce drop outs. Candidates are provided counselling, boarding and lodging in some cases, financial support for conveyance, facilitating placement through Rojgar Melas etc.
