CBSE announces the Storytelling Competition for the session 2022-23. Schools can submit the videos of storytelling by students as per the details mentioned below:
2. Topics: Topics are attached as Annexure I. Students can select one topic of their choice.
2.1. Language: Hindi or English.
3. Participation:
3.1. Levels:
3.1.1 School Level: Schools will conduct Storytelling Competition, on their own, from 17th January, 2023 to 31th January, 2023, for all the four categories and select one best entry in each category to participate at Regional Level.
3.1.2 Regional Level:
- The Regional Level Competition will be conducted digitally, from 1st February, 2023 to 12th February, 2023 through the CBSE Storytelling App. Details mentioned in Annexure – II.
- At the Regional Level, 1 best story of each category will be selected from each CBSE Region. (The number of best entries may vary depending upon the quality of entries as decided by the judges). Each winner will get an online Merit Certificate.
3.1.3 National Level:
- The best entries selected at the Regional Level will be evaluated digitally at the National Level by a committee of experts. The winners will get an online Merit Certificate.
3.2 Registration: After conducting the school-level competition and selecting one best entry from each category, the schools shall register the student with selected best entry. The registration will be done through the CBSE Storytelling web-portal ‘मेरी कहानी, मेरी ज़़ुबानी’ to be made available at www.cbse.gov.in. Registration will be open from 1st February, 2023 to 12th February, 2023.
3.2.1 Uploading: Uploading of Storytelling Videos by schools for Regional Level shall be open from 1st February, 2023 to 12th February, 2023. Schools can upload the videos of their students using an android phone only through CBSE Storytelling App available at Google Playstore. For guidelines of the process of submission through the App, please see Annexure-II. Before uploading of storytelling videos, schools must obtain a consent letter from parents/guardians of students whose videos are being uploaded.
4. Duration & Size of Video –
- Primary – upto 2 min.
- Middle – 2-3 mins Not More than 2 MB
- Secondary – 3-4 mins.
- Sr. Secondary – 3-4 mins.
5. Assessment Criteria will be Creativity, Fluency, Content Delivery, Coherence and Expression.
6. Participation in this Competition can be credited to the Portfolio as part of the internal assessment.
7. Schools are advised not to wait for the last date to submit the entry.
8. The decision of the judges shall be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
