Subject: Cyber Awareness Campaign – ‘Stay Safe Online’
Dear Principal
As you are aware that India has assumed the Presidency of G20 for one year from December 2022 to November 2023, during India’s Presidency of 20, the Ministry of Electronics & IT, Govt. of India has initiated a Cyber Awareness Campaign titled ‘Stay Safe Online’. The objective of the campaign is to raise awareness among the various user groups on safe use of social media platforms, informed usage of digital payment and internet across India.
Students and youth use social media platforms heavily and also fall prey to online fraudsters and cyber criminals. Creating awareness among students and youth about the safe usage of social media, e-commerce, online payment and other usage of internet in Hindi, English and regional languages, is the best way to save them from cyber fraud and online harms. ‘Stay Safe Online’ campaign is an effort in this direction.
In view of above, you are requested to conduct awareness programs on ‘Stay Safe Online’ through quizzes, drawing competitions, slogan writing competitions, debate etc. regularly till November 2023. A brief report of activities may be uploaded by the schools at https://forms.gle/x7BB7Ai4g3mE7ikH7
With Best Wishes
Dr. Joseph Emmanuel
