ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT

(SADHVI NIRANJAN JYOTI)
(a) Under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) no application from households/ beneficiaries is required as beneficiaries are identified from SECC 2011 and Awaas+ databases.
(b) The State-wise details of total number of houses provided and beneficiaries benefited under PMAY-G during the last three years and the current year along with the position of Tonk and Sawai Madhopur districts of Rajasthan is given at Annexure-I. The District-wise details of houses constructed under PMAY-G can be seen at the programme website at www.pmayg.nic.in—>AwaasSoft—>Reports—> House progress against the target financial year.
(c) The details of the targets allocated, houses sanctioned and houses completed so far under the PMAY-G is given in Annexure-II.
(d) & (e) Under PMAY-G, the target is the construction of 2.95 crore houses to achieve the objective of “Housing for All” in rural areas by March 2024. Under PMAY-G, the beneficiaries have been identified based on the housing deprivation parameters prescribed under Socio Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011. After due verification by the Gram Sabha and completion of Appellate Process, Gram panchayat-wise Permanent Wait List (PWL) is prepared. The auto generated priority list of households from SECC, 2011 database was provided  to  the  States/Union  Territories  (UTs)  for  conducting Gram  Sabha  meetings  to finalize the PWL. As on 07.12.2022, a total of 2.08 crore households have been identified and included in PWL from SECC, 2011. Further, the details of such households who claimed to be left out from the SECC 2011 based PWL and eligible for inclusion in PWL, have been captured in the Awaas+ Survey, 2018. The Survey was conducted during January, 2018 and 7th   March,  2019.  In  this  exercise,  the  States/UTs  have  uploaded  details  of  additional households. In order to fill the gap of 87 lakh houses (2.95 crore – 2.08 crore), Awaas+ data is being utilized. Out of this, a target of 83.83 lakh has been allocated to the States/UTs till date.
The district-wise houses sanctioned and houses completed so far under the PMAY-G in the State of Rajasthan and and Banda and Chitrakoot districts of Uttar Pradesh are given in Annexure-III
The Ministry has taken the following initiatives to ensure timely completion of the houses under PMAY-G in rural areas of the country:
  • Regular review of progress at the level of Ministry.
  • Launch of PMAY-G Dashboard for monitoring and supervision of the scheme.
  • Timely allocation of targets to the States/UTs and release of adequate funds.
  • Regular follow ups with the State to ensure release of central and state share of funds and provision of land to landless beneficiaries in rural areas.
  • Awards to the best performing States/UTs, districts and blocks based on performance index dashboard, thereby creating healthy competition and motivation among the States/ UTs for achieving the set targets.
