School running sections lesser than the permissible number of sections as per the Land available
No. CBSE/AFF/2022
Date: 23.11.2022
Circular No.15/2022
To,
The Principals/Heads of the CBSE Affiliated Schools
Subject: School running sections lesser than the permissible number of sections as per the Land available-reg.
As the schools while filling the student details at the time of registration/filling up the list of candidates in classes IX, X, XI and XII had faced difficulties. Thus in order to overcome this issue as per Circular no. 13/2022 dated 14.10.2022, the schools can apply section increase and the portal is open upto 31.12.2022.
It is reiterated that the CBSE Schools are expected to run the number of sections within the limits of permissible number of sections as per the quantum of land available with the School (Appendix V of the Affiliation Bye-Laws). However, it has been observed that there are Schools who are having more land however the number of sections run by them are lesser with respect to the land available with the School. These Schools, in due course of time may have an increase in the number of students and as a consequence may require a higher number of sections. With the existing number of sections, these Schools may face problem while LOC submission. This may lead to further inconvenience for the School(s) as well as for the candidates.
Therefore, in order to avoid any last minute hardship in related activities like filling up of LOC, such Schools are required to apply immediately for an increase in the number of sections in SARAS portal. The portal of online application for section enhancement is open at present upto 31.12.2022.
