TREATMENT UNDER AYUSH MEDICINE

Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state:
(a) whether a comprehensive system of treatment under AYUSH medicine exist to meet the health needs of citizens and whether the Government is contemplating to set up integrated AYUSH hospitals in all the district centers of Rajasthan including Ajmer;
(b) if so, the details of the present status in this regard and whether such proposals have been received from the Government of Rajasthan and its MPs, if so, the details thereof;
(c) the budgetary allocation made for the said purpose during the last three years, State-wise; and
(d) whether the Government is contemplating to establish a 100 bedded Naturopathy hospital after conducting a survey at Ajmer district headquarters, if so, the time by which the said hospital will be established?

(a) & (b): Public Health being a State Subject, setting up of Integrated AYUSH hospital comes under the purview of the respective State/UT Governments including Rajasthan. However, the Ministry of Ayush is implementing the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of the National AYUSH Mission (NAM) through State/UT Governments and providing financial assistance to them as per the proposals received in their respective State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs) for promotion and development of AYUSH systems. Under NAM, there is a provision of financial assistance to State/UT Governments setting up new 50/30/10 bedded integrated AYUSH Hospitals, upgradation of standalone Government AYUSH hospitals and dispensaries, operationalization of AYUSH Health & Wellness Centres, Co-location of AYUSH facilities at Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs) and District Hospitals (DHs) to support their efforts for providing healthcare facilities to the citizens of the country through AYUSH systems of Medicine as a comprehensive system of treatment.
Ministry of Ayush had also received the requests from the 03 Members of Parliament, Lok Sabha regarding setting up of AYUSH Hospital at Bikaner, Jaipur and Rajsamand Districts and accordingly it was informed to the Hon’ble Members of Parliament that State Government of Rajasthan is required to submit the proposals through State Annual Action Plan (SAAP) as per the NAM guidelines. Further, as per the proposals received from the State Government through SAAPs, the Ministry of Ayush has approved 50 bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospital each at Bhilwara, Ajmer, Churu, Bikaner, Jaipur and Sikar District in Rajasthan.
(c) Under NAM, the status of funds approved for setting up of integrated AYUSH hospitals during the last three years, State/UT-wise is furnished in Annexure.
(d) Under NAM, the establishment of AYUSH hospitals including Naturopathy in the States/UTs including Ajmer District head quarter comes under the purview of the concerned State/UT Governments.
