Will the Minister of SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP be pleased to state:
(a) the time by which the upcoming Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana-4 (PMKVY-4) scheme is likely to be implemented and the details thereof;
(b) the number and types of training covered under the said scheme; and
(c) the details thereof?

(a) to (c) Under Skill India Mission, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is implementing a flagship scheme known as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) on pan–India basis. So far, 3 versions of the Scheme have been launched viz PMKVY 1.0 (2015-16), PMKVY 2.0 (2016-20) and PMKVY 3.0 (2020-22).
Skill Development of youth of our new generation is a National necessity and bedrock of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. The Skill ecosystem and institutional network developed during last six years has made significant progress of skill development. Utilising achievements hitherto, we have to further give an impetus to Skill India with a new approach, the PMKVY 4.0, has been redesigned and the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) proposal of the Scheme has been forwarded to Ministry of Finance for approval
