Will the Minister of MINORITY AFFAIRS be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Ministry is implementing Naya Savera Scheme for minority students in the country;

(b) if so, the aims and objectives of the scheme;

(c) the details of muslim students provided free coaching for professional, technical and competitive examination for recruitment to Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ category services in Central and the State Governments from districts of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Sangareddy and Vikarabad of Telangana during the last three years and the current year, year and district-wise; and

(d) the details of physical targets set and achieved under the scheme during the above period, year and district-wise?

(a) & (b): Yes, Sir. Ministry of Minority Affairs implements Free Coaching and Allied Scheme (Naya Savera) to assist students/candidates belonging to the six notified minority communities namely Sikh, Jain, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist and Parsi by way of special coaching for qualifying examinations for admission in technical/professional courses and competitive examination for recruitment to Group Á, ‘B’, & ‘C’ services and other equivalent posts under the Central and State Governments including public sector undertakings, banks, insurance companies as well as autonomous bodies. The scheme is implemented across the country through empaneled Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) / Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) since 2007-08.

(c) & (d):  There is  no state-wise / district-wise target allocation under the Naya Savera scheme. Eligible PIAs are selected across the country on the basis of recommendation from State Government for implementation of coaching programme. During the last three years 9580, 5300 & 5090 beneficiaries have been allocated to PIAs under the scheme, however, no allocation have been given to the PIAs in the state of Telangana.
