RESIDENTIAL FLATS OF DDA

Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:

(a) whether various residential flats of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) including Jasola and Molarband are in dilapidated condition due to delayed repair work and if so, the details thereof; and

(b) the status of the repair works for which written request have been made by the Resident Welfare Association (RWA) representatives of Molarband and Jasola to the DDA during the last three years under the Housing Scheme – year 2010?

ANSWER

(a): No Sir. Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has informed that that DDA flats at various locations including Jasola and Molarband are not in dilapidated condition. DDA has further informed that as per various housing scheme brochures for allotment of houses, the maintenance activities is to be done by Residential Welfare Association (RWA). However with effect from DDA Housing Scheme – 2010, some pre-declared maintenance activities are to be undertaken by the DDA for 30 years after allotment and other maintenance works are to be undertaken by RWA. List of such pre-declared maintenance actives under purview of DDA are annexed.

(b): DDA has informed that based on available records, the status of repair work is as under:

(i) In 2019, a letter was received from RWA 690 LIG Houses, Molarband, for repair of boundary wall, which was completed on 23.09.2020.

(ii) In 2020, a  letter was received  from  RWA  690  LIG houses, Molarband, for repair of Paver Blocks, which was completed on 26.05.2021.

(iii) In 2021, a letter was received from RWA of pocket 9A, Jasola, for repair work, which has been completed.

(iv) In 2022, a letter was received from RWA 690 LIG Houes, Molarbad, for some repair work of external plaster and painting, for which technical sanction has been accorded and tender has been floated.

In addition to the above, DDA has carried out inspection  of Jasola and Molarband housing and found that items covered in the committed list of DDA are generally in good condition except in some of the flats where repair of window chhajjas, repair of balconies, shaft plaster and minor repair works are required. DDA has informed that technical sanction for these works has been accorded and tenders have been floated.
