PRADHAN MANTRI ADARSH GRAM YOJANA

Will the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the selection procedure for comprehensive development of rural areas and for improvement in living standards of the villagers under Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana (PMAGY) in the country including the criteria fixed under it;
(b) the States where rural development works have been completed and villagers benefitted therefrom since its inception to December, 2021 including the amount spent/sanctioned, State-wise and year-wise;
(c) the details of works done so far in various Village Development Programmes (VDPs) in rural areas covered/benefitted thereunder in Rajasthan;
(d) the amount given, works approved/completed from 2019-20 to 2021-22, year-wise including districtwise list of selected villages; and
(e) whether villages have been benefitted with the completion of sanctioned works in Rajasthan under the said scheme during the last three years and if so, the details thereof, year-wise?

(a): Villages having a total population of 500 or more with more than 40% persons belonging to the Scheduled Castes are eligible for selection in the descending order of their SC population under the PMAGY scheme.
(b): Since the inception of the scheme till December 2021 (1252) villages completed all the works identified under the Village Development Plan. The year-wise details of funds released to the above States since inception to 2021-22 is at Annexure-I.
(c): In the State of Rajasthan, (2958) works have been so far completed in the selected villages. These works are mainly related to provision of drinking water, sanitation, internal roads, drainage, construction of Anganwadis, toilets in existing Anganwadis & Schools etc.
(d) & (e): The year-wise details of funds released to the State Government of Rajasthan for development of villages selected under PMAGY, along with the number of works approved and number of works completed in Rajasthan, which have benefited the said villagers during the last three years from 2019-20 to 2021-22, are as under:
