SANCTIONED PROJECTS IN JHARKHAND

Will the Minister of NEW AND RENEWABLE ENERGY be pleased to state:
(a) the details of targeted and installed capacity of new and renewable energy sources, State-wise;
(b) the number of sanctioned projects under new and renewable energy in the State of Jharkhand, sourcewise; and
(c) the quantum of funds allocated for such projects in the State of Jharkhand?

(a) In line with Hon’ble Prime Minister’s announcement at COP26, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy is working towards achieving 500 GW of installed electricity capacity from non-fossil sources by 2030.
The source-wise and state-wise details of the renewable energy capacity (including large hydro) installed in the country as on 30.06.2022 are given in Annexure-I.
(b) As per information provided by the Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA), the following renewable energy projects have been sanctioned in the state of Jharkhand:-
1. Solar City Project:- Under this Scheme Giridih City has selected for the Development as Solar City.
2. PM-KUSUM Component-B: under this Scheme 10000 Nos. of Stand Alone Solar Pump sets have been sanctioned for the farmers of Jharkhand for agricultural purpose.
3. PM-KUSUM Component-C: 208 Nos. of individual Grid Connected Agricultural Pumps.
Further, the details of other renewable energy projects sanctioned by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy in the state of Jharkhand are given in Annexure-II.
(c) The details of funds released as Central Financial Assistance (CFA) by the ministry for implementation of various renewable energy schemes/programmes in the State of Jharkhand during the last two years i.e. 2020-21 and 2021-22 are given below:
