BENEFITS OF DDU-GKY TO STs

Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) whether Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) has benefitted the Scheduled Tribes (STs) people;
(b) if so, the number of people benefitted from this yojana during the financial years 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-2022;
(c) whether the Government is planning to extend its benefits for the betterment of the STs in the State of Odisha; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b) Yes, the Deen Dayal Upadhyay-Grameen Kaushal Yojana (DDU-GKY) has benefited the Scheduled Tribes (STs) people. The details of people benefited from the scheme during 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22 are given below:

(c) & (d) DDU-GKY is already an ongoing scheme for the skilling of rural youth from poor hoseholds including those from ST ones. The scheme is being implemented in the State of Odisha also.
