SCHEMES IMPLEMENTED IN JHARKHAND

Will the Minister of NEW AND RENEWABLE ENERGY be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the schemes being implemented by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy in the State of Jharkhand including Ranchi Lok Sabha Constituency;
(b) the details of the works carried out in the country during the last two years; and
(c) the quantum of funds spent in this regard along with the number of persons benefitted thereunder?

STATEMENT STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION No. 318 for ANSWER ON 24-3-2022
(a) : Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s major renewable energy schemes/programmes such as solar park scheme, CPSU scheme Phase-II, PM KUSUM scheme, Solar Rooftop Programme phase-II, etc are being implemented across the country, including the State of Jharkhand.
Further, the Ministry has sanctioned the following renewable energy projects in the state of Jharkhand:-
- 100 MW SECI Floating Solar Park at Getalsud dam in Ranchi District.
- 20 MW Deogarh Solar Park at Deogarh District.
- 20 MW Palamu Solar Park at Palamu District.
- 20 MW Garwha Solar Park at Garwha District.
- 20 MW Simdega Solar Park at Simdega District.
- 755 MW Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) Floating Solar Park, at Maithon, Panchet, Lilaiya & Konar dams in the State of Jharkhand and West Bengal.
- A capacity of 11.38 MW has been sanctioned under solar rooftop programme during the year 2019-20 to 2021-22.
- 50 MW capacity of small solar power plants under Component A of PM KUSUM scheme.
- Solarisation of 11000 nos of standalone off-grid solar water pumps under Component B of PM KUSUM scheme.
- Solarisation of 500 nos of individual existing grid connected agriculture pumps and 10000 nos of existing grid connected agriculture pumps through feeder level solarisation under Component C of PM KUSUM scheme
(b): The State-wise and source-wise details of renewable energy capacity addition (including large hydro) in the country including the State of Jharkhand during the last two years & current year i.e. from 2019-20 to 2021-22 (upto February’2022) are given in Annexure-I.
(c): The state wise details of Central Financial Assistance (CFA) released for the implementation of various renewable energy schemes / programmes by the Ministry in the country including the State of Jharkhand from 2019-20 to 2021-22 (till 16/3/2022) are given in Annexure-II.
The renewable energy schemes / programmes being implemented in the State of Jharkhand have benefitted various sections of the population in the State, including individual households, farmers etc.
