SERVICES IN CSC

Will the Minister of MINISTER OF ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY be pleased to state:
(a) whether it is true that three lakh Common Service Centres (CSC) were set up under the Digital India Programme plan which are delivering services like registrations for Aadhaar Cards, Pan Cards, Booking of Train Tickets, Checking of bank balance, etc;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the details of the States which are covered by CSC and the manner in which the rural population is getting benefitted from it; and
(d) the details of the CSCs in the North Eastern States?

(a), b) and (c):Yes, Sir. Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has implemented the network of Common Services Centres (CSC) under the Digital India Programme. CSC is an important way of extending governance in public services to every citizen. The CSC scheme envisages setting up of at-least one CSC in each of 2.50 lakh Gram Panchayats (GPs) across the country, for delivery of various Government-to-Citizen (G2C) and other citizen-centric e-Services to citizens. It is a self-sustainable entrepreneurship model which is run by Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs). The number and kind of services being provided currently through CSCs are at Annexure-I.
As on February 2022, total 4,63,705 CSCs are operational across all states & Union Territories of the country, out of which, total 3,63,887 CSCs are operational at Gram Panchayat (GP) level. The list of number of CSCs in the country (State/UT-wise) including North Eastern States, is enclosed at Annexure-II.
